Next car after V8V
359RWHP-he has the same set up as mine but has not yet added the high performance air filters. If they add the 5-7hp you suggest, thats about 365RWHP.......not that far off. My first two runs were in the high 360 range until the final run where he hit redline and 375.
I drove the V12, and that thing seems Wicked Fast compared to mine modded. But even so, it is No Where near enough IMO to justify the cost difference. A car is just like a woman, the hottest chic out there some guy is sick of. So I'd probably even lose the initial thrill of a Zagato if I was lucky enough to have one. Bottom line I wouldn't sell for an 09 and above or a V12, I'd tweak it a bit.

Also, you copied a single sentence from my post and responded to that. What's your response to the rest of my post? Don't you agree that the numbers just don't add up? Sorry, but this still makes no sense.
Racer-I understand everything you are saying. Adding up each piece for what we believe they should add does not make up the 70HP gain. I get your point and you stated it before when I posted my results.
All I was trying to say to the OP is that you can get good power out of the 4.3L (more than the stock 4.7L) for minimum investment simply by leaning the very rich AFR and letting her breath more and the addition of the ECU tune/power upgrade.
CJ's results were done in NJ I believe and he posted his results a week before I did mine. You never attacked his results. Mine was done in TX. They are not the same place, but it was the same dyno manufacturer.
Perhaps combining these particular mods compliment each other well? I dont know, I am just a big car enthusiast who wanted more power out of his 4.3L and got it!
My understanding was that the dynojet is one of the most repetable dynos from dyno to dyno and is virtually maintenance free. I did some reading on them and can not really see how my respected shop in TX and his in NJ both created modified units that would "spit out" false data just to make us feel good.
Just for you, I will find another dyno shop at some point and run it again posting results and a video. Perhaps then we can put this to rest.

I'll chime in here since I went from a supercharged V8V to a GTR.
For me, the GTR is a car I can drive much more often, as a daily driver if I wished. It's easy to drive like an Accord, or it can turn into a fire-breathing monster if you wish. It is insanely fast...even in comparison to my SuperVantage. I can take it anywhere without worrying about it, although it probably gets more positive attention than the Vantage did. The 6-speed and loud exhaust on the Vantage got tiresome for me, especially on longer drives. The interior materials on the Vantage are higher quality, but on the other hand the ergonomics on the GTR are vastly better and things actually work. I can lock the doors. It gets better gas mileage. I can drive it in the rain. I can pull into my driveway and into shopping centers without scraping the front. And did I mention it's really really fast? Like so fast I probably need a HANS device. Anyone who says that it's no fun on the street is insane. Getting on a freeway onramp and blasting past 10 cars like they are standing still never gets old. Neither does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, 0-100 in less than 7, 1/4 mile somewhere in the 10s. Not as pretty as the Vantage, but it looks good, especially in red. Overall, best car I've ever had.

No 32, I've seen the white V12V at the LI dealer -- beautiful car. I think the silver one has been sold. I bought my car from them and highly recommend them.
Regarding tweaked 4.3s, I'm certainly willing to be convinced, but the reported numbers are too good to be true (so far, anyway). I don't doubt that significant improvements were made, but not as much as the dyno suggests. I remain doubtful that those changes can give performance that equals, let alone beats, a stock 4.7. Horsepower, perhaps, could be comparable, but not torque. What we really need is the same car, before and after any and all modifications, on the same dyno.

I don't have a dog in this fight, I have a v12 and don't have much experience with the v8...but I can tell you Racer_X and Speedraser always have well thought out positions when they post, and in this case with the dyno, the only way to account for gains for mods packaging working synergistcially is to do a before and after on the same dyno with similar conditions given some margin of error as there cannever be two exact conditions, but ya get the point.
Now onto dynojet dynamometers...they are not bad per se BUT they read 10 - 20% higher than a eddy current (or what they refer to as load dynos)...these are generally mustang dynos or dyno dynamics units and are used by firms mainly for tuning purposes to set AFR and timing and adjust maps.

dunno if someone's said it yet, but dyno numbers are useless without something to compare them to. different dynos give different numbers, even dynos of the same kind. temps can affect power, too. if you want to see the real difference in power output between a 4.3L and a 4.7L, the most accurate way to do it is to put the two on the same dyno back-to-back, or at least on days with the same temps.
edit: oh, Surfer mentioned it, too.
i saw it on Friday while i was there getting my V8V's o2 sensors replaced. could not stop staring at it. it's absolutely perfect.
