BTW, did I mention they lied to me about the being up to date on service? It wasn't! They begrudgingly agreed to do it and then had the ***** to ask me if I'd split the cost with them!!!!

Additionally, they handed me the keys to a car where the B&O is in-op AND the traction control is in-op!!!!!! They offered to fix the stereo ( they didn't mention the traction control, I figured that one out the first time I drove the car!!! BTW, they test drove it after the service....) if I'd leave it with them...... They knew I was picking the car up and hauling it the 300+ miles home and I couldn't stay " a couple days....."

THEY STILL ARE THE ASTON MARTIN SERVICE LOCALE IN NORTHERN VA......

Bottom line is these guys are clueless

^^^ LRDog bro I'm not intenting to have a "new tude" no worries mate, we're fellow DB9 owners, sorry my post came off that way to you it was not my intention...I was simply trying to say you got a nice car at a nice price, even if it were missing a few things at the end of the day you came out on top, it's a good thing not an attitude statement ...in fact when I was looking for my DB9 I saw yours and I recall the ad exactly, I remmember seeing the sport wheels and the umbrella also... and I remmember the heavily discounted price for a car that had so very few miles. To me something was fishy and I had not heard good things about that dealer, yes like you said I heard the same that they were clueless and were not a good dealer to work with, I had heard negative things about them and their reputaion...so I kept looking and when I found mine I decdied to forego yours (not so much your car but rather dealing with a dealer whom I had heard so many bad stories about), I was super close to going to the dealer to see it and test drive it. Trust me, I would be upset also if I went and saw the car and it didn't have the stuff you talked about or the issues you mentioned, I personally would have walked away...or drove the few hundred miles back home...or even flew back home if I were out of town. To me it's not worth it unless I get exactly what I am looking for.

When I bought my car from South Florida/Palm Beach I had a local independent Aston Martin Specialist whom I had researched do a COMPLETE PPI (pre-purchase inspection), chassis check, paint check, parts verification according to factory build sheet, test drive, all mechanicals, body, frame, and electrical... etc...etc... and fully authenticate the vehicle prior to booking my ticket down, I told the dealer once I got a "green light" from my guy I would pick it up that Saturday. I paid a half days hourly to get this done but to me it was worth it, I was sure to get no surprises and the car would be what I expected. Everything checked out perfect and I got the car, and when I went to get it I knew more about that vehicle then the dealer did. I don't trust dealers.

As for Tysons Corner AM, here is what is going on. They are local and I have sources. The dealership you dealt with is closing and selling their inventory, they do not have or have not gotten any new cars in a very long time. They have for a long time now cut their relaionship with Aston Martin and do not have Aston's support or dealer network status for a long time now. Each day they have inventory left is another day they are bleeding operations/overhead costs, they want to fire sale that inventory off badly. They have an unscrupulous reputation. They couldn't sell the cars they had so they sat for a long time like your car and several over others on their list. These were sold as heavily discounted stock inventory to recoup any monies to the existing operation as they finish and close up shop. They were doing everything they could to liquidate their remaining inventory, including swapping parts, or whatever they could to get customers to buy what they had left so they could close up, as we've seen from your expereince, which again makes sense as you've said "they are clueless" - there is obviously a reason they are out of business. They have 2 service techs working out of the MB dealer who service Aston cars, they have one parts guy for AM remaining. Their AM service operation is run out of the MB dealership until the new dealership is established and running.

All this said brings us to a ray of hope, if there ever was one. There is a new dealer opening up accross the street as the new Aston Martin Tysons Corner. This new owner/dealer is not related to the old one you bought from, totally new owner/franchise/operation. This new dealer will operate as a boutique dealer off Rt 7 in NoVA, they will sell both new and used AM vehicles from my understanding, and have a service and parts operation.

GPFboyJS is on a distinguished road
The stereo and traction control should be a non-issue since there is warranty on the vehicle.

I would make sure that the dealer makes you whole with the fact they sold you a vehicle based on images supplied to you and the vehicle does not match those images. They either need to supply you with the wheels and umbrella (not to big an issue) or refund you the difference of replacing those items.
