V12 or N420 Side Skirts?

For V8V owners what side skirt modification would you prefer? V12V or N420?

Does anyone know if the OEM V12V side skirts will fit a V8V without modifications? What material are the side skirts made of?

Thanks guys.

V12 side skirts hands down for me. I don't personally like the way the N420 skirts flip upward toward the back. Seems to interfere with the curvature of the real haunches.

I was looking into fitting V12V side skirts to my V8V before I got the V12. The dealer had told me they wouldn't fit on the V8V, but I don't think that's true. Regardless, the V8V S has the same type of side skirts.

Aren't the sills the same on the "S" model as the V12? I go back and forth on which of the 3 options I prefer; standard, N400, or V12. I am currently leaning towards the N400 style for my black 09. However the $3000 plus price tag for this cosmetic only mod isn't making me run right out and do it. I wonder if the car color and wheels have any impact on the opinion for others out there.

I had the GT4 skirts on my V8V Roadster. They come with a carbon fiber insert which looked awesome. They are pricey but awesome.

I agree with you 100%. I know many forum members have the N420 side skirts, but i think the V12V side skirts fit the body lines better.

I found an older post with those skirts and they look great. Are these factory GT4 side skirts? Can you confirm the stock V12V side skirts will fit the V8V?

I'm finalizing the design with Vorsteiner on the aero package and the idea was a slightly more aggressive V12V side skirt with a carbon insert. All the carbon on the package will be prepreg dry carbon, 1x1 plain weave, matte clear coat finish. We want to keep the body lines of the V12V, but add their unique design touch to it.

The N420 skirts are actually from the N400
I have an S and can confirm they are the V12 ones
I prefer the N400 ones though

My skirts came from AM in the UK. They are almost the same as the V12 except for the Carbon. There is a bit of a lip between the Carbon and the fiberglass but the overall dimensions are the same. All Vantages are the same dimension between the wheels. So all of the skirts should be interchangeable from the factory. If the holes and connections don't meet exactly, it should be easy for a good body shop to make adjustments.

Well I have just had n400 sills put on mine, I was after the n420 but are very hard to come by and also alot more to buy due to the carbon edge.
I am really happy with how they look.
Also I have just had my brakes and suspention upgraded.
OEM Vantage ‘S’ front brakes utilise 380mm discs and 6 pot callipers. Vantage ‘S’ has 27.5Cm2 Piston area, 110Cm2 pad area and uses Jurid 673 GG friction pad material giving a torque output ratio of 4268. The supplier equipment uses similar but higher spec 380mm discs and 6 pot callipers with 28.7Cm2 piston area, 110Cm2 pad area and utilises Pagid RS9-2 friction material giving torque output ratio of 4455. The rear set-up also beats the OEM kit on paper in a similar manner meaning that total braking force ensures the kit exceeds the OEM parts on paper. Both the front and rear discs are of two piece disc and bell construction.
The suspention is Front and rear electronic switchable dampers with
Lowering springs.
I have also just got a set of sports pack wheels which I have had powder coated in anthricite with nice matching titanium wheels nuts !!
I have only had her back for a few days and all these changes have made a huge difference.
Firstly the suspention, having the control to be able to go from firm to soft with one easy switch is amazing and totally changes the character of the car.
Secondly the brakes are now fully worn in and compliment the suspention, they give you amazing confidence to carry more speed through corners and also massive late breaking capability.
Anyway back to the side sills !!!
Thoughts please !!!

First of all, that color and the the finish on the wheels work great together with that front lip. The only thing I would change is the rear tails. I would get clears with a carbon insert like my 4.3R. The sides look great. The N420's would have been cool but trust me I know how much they cost.

I use to have red brake callipers and the red rear lights balanced nicely. The plan is to have my new brakes repainted to bring back the balance. Thanks for your kind words, I love the way she looks and goes.

There is a bit of mis information here
N400 sills are the same as the N420 and are an option in the standard Vantage

The V12 sills are also used on the S and are an option on MY12 cars now
The GT4 sills are CF versions of the V12 sills with some of the CF not painted.
