Malibu101481 is infamous around these parts
Might also just be the leather slightly sliding around on the steering wheel itself

Did that work?

My 07 V8V steering makes a noise on the inside of the cabin when I turn the wheel. Sounds like leather to leather rubbing to me.

V8V annoying steering sqeak.
I have the same. It’s not the fluid the sound Definately coming from directly behind the steering wheel. Like rubber on rubber. I’ve silicone sprayed the joints on the column and down behind the steering wheel. Drives me mad. Getting a tech to check it.

I have the same annoying sound. I'm going to try the firewall grommet... let us know what you find.

For me It's only at low speed maneuvering like getting into a parking space or the garage

thats it. At first nothing then after about 5 mins drive it starts. Manoeuvring. Short or long terms of the wheel . I’ve had my head underneath listening nothing on the column. Most odd. Good luck let me know how you get on

So far my solution has been to turn up the music... the sound disappears...

Hopefully this fall when it gets cooler I'll poke around under the dash

Any hi. Any update on this bloody annoying noise. I’ve had techs lubricate everything in sight. Fluid is good. But still squeak bloody squeak. Cheers
