The powder coating itself was either 325 or 375. I don't remember how much the mounting of the tires off/on were.

Also, I got wheels done in gunmetal to match the center caps that AM already makes. This made it a lot easier for me to get them done.

Yeah, but this is a rendering we did a few days ago since we are running our monoblock wheels on a New York International Auto Show Promotion, but here are a few more with the wheels installed on it!

I am facing a similar dilemma as OP and many others I'm sure... guys do you think my wheels would look good on my car in a gunmetal like RossL's, or should I consider aftermarket or just leave them be?

OP I hope you don't mind my post. if so please let me know and I will delete it.

Actually, it was the deep concave wheels in the picture I mentioned, that I really like. I thought the offset of the Vantage wheels prevented them from being too concave. If I understand you correctly, this is actually a photoshop job and the real wheels would not look this good on the Vantage.

I don't think anthracite works with slate blue. It seems to work best with very dark cars (black or dark gray) or very light color cars because of the contrast.

In your case, the silver sport pack wheels look right to me. Or maybe a set of silver DBS wheels (original style)?

Myself, I'm having a set of silver DBS wheels powder coated anthracite (or as close as I can get to the factory finish).

I agree. I don't see anthracite working on your car sunir.

Agree, silver and slate is a classic.

I'm putting the 10 spoke sport pack wheels on mine soon, they have a nice mix of bright silver and anthracite. May powder coat my old 19's after. Those will be track day or back up wheels going forward. Also, since I put a nasty curb rash scrape on the rear passenger, I've been trying to think about how best to get it refurb'd.

Well here is a quick shot of a setup on the Vantage, now imagine the spokes going all the way to the end of the wheel like on a possible MB1 setup and you'll get your view on the possible concavity! Need to talk to my guys on exact figures regarding that, but they are doable!

For example a setup like this we did for an SL55 AMG earlier. Would this be concave enough for you?

That's because you don't have an Aston. Astons "don't need no steeenkin' aftermarket wheels"...

Aftermarket wheels that look like they belong on an Aston are few and far between. That is, unless you like the gangster/pimp look as opposed to the shaken not stirred look...

I agree with you, but in the end it's all what the customer wants really! I am really satisfied with how these two setups we did came out.

After all, different strokes for different folks!

Can't agree with you more! People become **** about some ideas they get in their heads and really stick with it. We got into a heated discussion about the latest project we did for an Alpina B7 where people questioned the replacement of the stock Alpina wheels. Guess what? Some people don't like some things!

But we are offtopic here! PM sent!
