CMD140.6 is infamous around these parts
Question to Rapide Owners

To any Rapide owners here, what has your experience been with the car? Any positives, negatives or quirks worth mentioning? I am once again considering the Rapide and am finding it difficult to find any owner-based opinions or information.

Thanks
Chris

I think sales of the Rapide have been abysmal, so finding an owner comment/opinion is like looking for a needle in a haystack here in the USA. Try AMOC.org...at least they have a dedicated Rapide forum FWIW (not much).

Thanks for the suggestion. Very little traffic on AMOC as well. It's a beautiful car but the lack of demand for it concerns me.

Xj is right... Abysmal sales figures for rapide which is a darn shame as the car is gorgeous for a full bodied proper 4 door and 4 seat saloon. Try pistonheads, there are a bunch of active am guys there and here also.

Was at my dealer buying my new V8V #2 and asked how the Rapides were selling. He said "they're not--can't sell them in cold climates without all-wheel drive". I wasn't surprised, that's one of the reasons why I drive the Panamera. That, and because it's a fabulous car. The Rapide is gorgeous but maybe AM should offer an all-wheel drive version to boost sales, if they could afford to develop it.

Too bad the Panamera is butt-ugly (sorry). Would be nice if they could graft the Rapide body onto the Panamera mechanicals.
