Perfect job. I like the way the stripe on the hood follows the contours of the hood/vent lines.

Wow, thanks for all the positive feedback guys. Really glad that the gang approves!

Before I forget, I wanted to give props to Keith at Chuforia Graffiix (chuforiagraffix.com) for a great job in doing the work.

Edit - and yes we're all secretly wondering if/how we would do something similar to our cars without looking like we're copying u

Haha, no worries if anyone wants to copy. What's that about imitation and flattery?

If I had a V8V and wanted to do something similar, I'd go a bit wider at the rear of the hood, more like the GTE shown in my avatar. The only reason I didn't is because the hood vents defined the angles of the hood stripe, and therefore the dimensions of the entire stripe.

I notice they put an advertising decal on your rear window. Did you get a discount for advertising them?

He put it on to take pics for his website and told me to feel free to remove it. I told him I'd leave it on for a little while as I was really happy with the result.

What fun! You live once. Good call Dave.
Did they remove the AM name badge or just cut around it?....From what I can see from your pics, this looks very clean.
It helps to have such a beautiful vehicle as a palate!
Congrats on taking a risk.

^^Thanks. They removed them. They are only held on with really sticky double-sided foam tape.

Wow buddy job well done! It looks factory, like aniversary edition or special series stripe package, think of like the stripe option on the 360 challenge straddale but just a custom version of it

Hmmm makes me wonder if there's anything I can do for a little subtle flair on my db9... But dunno it's a much different look and style...

Maybe a dumb question but is there any potential issue with paint colour fade since the stripe is likely not transparent to UV?

From what I understand, there would only be a problem if the car was continually exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time (e.g., stored outside in the sun). I garage the car and, due to the heat down south, normally park it in the shade, so I'm not too concerned. Also, I'll likely remove or change the pattern after several months.

I think it looks great and good call on not running it down the bumpers.
