V12V stripe project complete!
Interesting that at least two folks on PH said I should have extended the stripe downward. The responses were of the type of "Looks good, but what you should have done is . . ."
I was pretty deliberate with what I did (arrived at it after much thought), and I wouldn't change a thing now that it's done.

My thoughts exactly. The original inspiration came from the Balboni Gallardo, and subsequently from the Strad and the Scud. Extending down along the bumpers would've been too 'merican for a road car.
^^That's right, Larry. I took a cue from TRF.
Okay, without further delay, here she is. A little explanation first on how I arrived at this particular design. I ultimately decided that I'd go with something that was not completely random. I decided I'd go with a stripe that's similar to the stripe of the AMR 007 Vantage GTE as a nod to Aston's previous and current racing programs. I made a few modifications though to adapt the stripe for a road car.
First, I stopped the stripe at the front edge of the hood and the base of the trunk lid instead of having it continue down the bumpers. It just looked better that way in the renderings, especially from an angle. Second, I added a larger continuous taper from the base of the windshield back to the base of the trunk lid. When you view the car from above, the widest point of the top surfaces of the car is at the base of the windshield and the windshield, roof, and trunk lid gradually taper back from there. So, the taper of the stripe flows well with the edges of the car, and avoids having the stripe overlap the "V12 Vantage" badge on the trunk lid. Finally, I went with a more appropriate color for a road car: matte aluminum. Thanks to gekko and a buddy of mine for pointing me in this direction; gekko by posting the pic of the black DB9 with the grey stripe and my buddy for suggesting I pick a color that picks up the silver color of the wheels. Although it's called "matte," the stripe has more of a satin sheen to it.
So, my impressions. In short, I really like it. It is definitely a bit more attention grabbing than stock, but I think it's not too shouty or too far out of character for the car, especially with the GTE connection. In person, the stripe also really brings out contours of the car that you don't see as clearly without it. One is the gentle up-flip at the rear edge of the hood, which I never really noticed before, and the other is the duck-tail flip on the trunk, which is more noticeable now. So, I'm happy with it. I realize it's not going to be to everyone's tastes, but that's okay.
Below are some quick shots that I took yesterday at my office. I'm hoping to get some better shots some time in the next few weeks, and possibly some professional shots as well.

Yipes, stripes!
Love it. Great accent. Brings out the V12 hood "powerdome" and better integrates the CF hood vents. Superior to AM's "lipstick and roof rails" alternative ... and you designed it yourself.
Try one more step? Outline, both sides, with a bright red band. Try 1/8", 3/16", 1/4". Source it from an art store and test it. You will know what's right when you see it. Then go back to the pros for a more durable, matte?, install.
Pictures, we will want to see pictures if you try this evolution.

Good to hear from you RP. Hope you're still enjoying the Gallardo.
