TPMS options for DB9?
When your swapping sensors to another set of wheels, like Aston.ca mentioned, don't mix up the sensors, keep note to it's location on the car(colored rings help)...otherwise your tpms will be detecting the wrong position untill programmed by your dealer.
When you take the sensors off your wheels, just break the outside bead, push the bead down and remove the sensor, this way when you want to swap the sensor back to those wheels, just push the bead back down and refit the sensor..saves the cost on balancing and saves the chance of scratching a mag for you never have to remove the tire..of course though you still need a tire machine to do this, but at least this way even WalMart can do this without screwing up!

No I believe the recent units have a rechargeable system that works with motion of the wheels. It was the old Smart Tire system that had the finite life battery. Unfortunately Smart Tire is now defunct, limiting the non-OEM options. Dunno if any other vendor has reverse engineered the system. Aston must be getting their replacements from somewhere.
The replacements to Aston are still from smartire, guessing they signed a loooong contract with smartire..hense why there still being supplied to them. I know some bikes also used the smartire system, but those contracts ended and most large shops bought out the remaining stock.. they were held on like the ford tpm sensors with a band around the mag, there is actually a vanquish cruising montreal with 4 bike type sensors..hehe wonder would did that
Recent units are not rechargable, neither from Smartire or the new Beru system to Aston..all batteries will come to a end. I'm guessing when the Smartire contract ends Aston will adapt there own sensor or just make the Beru sensors work somehow..all they whould have to do is get the module to see that ID, Aston could get a land rover sensor to work, they'd have to buy the rights and fix a away to enter the ID's of that land rover (siemens) sensor
