Just Got done with this Rapide Wrapped in 3M Matte Black.

 

A 2 door Rapide?

 

Its a 4dr

 

Utterly ridiculous looking.

 

It does lose the gorgeous shape; it now looks very ordinary.

But thankfully it's a wrap, so it can be unwrapped when the owner regains his taste

 

That looks absolutely menacing. Amazing job, Im just not a huge fan of the Rapide shape.

 

Ruined the Aston elegance

 

I agree that it loses its elegance, but some people dont want it to look elegant, but rather menacing and just overall bad ***, which it does. I would go further and black the wheels and grille though.

These cars also look georgeous in matte white. Check out username "Kamran" for pics. Just stunning.

 

Bad enough to do the cliche matte black on an Aston; even worse to do it on a freaking Rapide!

Never understood people who black out the whole car. It hides all the lines IMO.

OP, I think it will look worse with black wheels, black grills, etc. Nothing will stand out. What was the original color anyways?

Don't listen to the conservative old fogies it looks great. Get the wheels, grill, and tailpipes done too and it will look bad a$$

....you can always change it back in the future if/when trends change and it starts to be a bit too chavish......

 

I gotta disagree w the majority here. I kinda like it... Looks pretty aggresive brings out some of the brightwork on the car, grill, fender winglet, etc .... Yes it's been done before, many times on many different cars and yes it's not most mainstream to do this on am Aston but why not, it's not the worst thing... And it's pretty fun and stealth bomber like... And removable. I don't see why not... In fact I think it would look menacing on a DB9 or DBS

This needs either brushed aluminum finished wheels or something matte black, but with a stripe, preferably red. What is the gameplan regarding this car and wheels anyway?
