My DB9 "Unboxing"
Congratulations! It's special, isn't it?
My moment came when I walked into the dealer in Florida and saw my soon-to-be car sitting on their showroom floor waiting for me to test drive and sign the final papers.
I had negotiated over the phone for several weeks before flying out to see the car in person, and when I entered the dealership and saw it in person, it was a slightly emotional moment.

Bravo! Welcome the the club! My fav pic was the last one with you celebrating with the champaign! My car was a florida car, and although I didn't have the "open the box experience" I had the same as Jeff, I did the deal over the phone in a few weeks then had the PPI done prior to arranging my flight. Then when I got to the dealer my car was waiting for me in the showroom looking amazing...it was almost like admiring someone elses car and then realizing that it was your car all of a sudden!
These feelings are undescribable... the delivery of a dream car on a transporter, or flying far away to pick up a highly anticpated car...just that very moment when see her for the first time, everyone should feel this way at least once.

I just got back from a lot of driving today (woohoo) to see your post....thanks for sharing so we can all relive our moment as well. Every time you go out to drive her, you get to "re-live" a bit of that moment, and it doesn't get old!
Mine came out of a truck much like yours did, and was so rearing to go that the wheels chirped as I pulled away.
These vehicles look so good in many different colors, but the black just ooozes classiness- although I'm slightly biased in the comment.
Congratulations Brother, and welcome to a wonderful group of owner enthusiasts.
....now please get a clear bra.

Thanks, gents. My car came from Boston where she was traded in at a Herb Chambers Bentley dealership. I had been very close to a local '08 car with much higher milage when this one popped up on Trovit. I had never thought of buying a vehicle out of state, but then thought...why not? Next thing I know, I'm paying for a PPI, hopping a flight to Boston, and the dealership picked me up in a white Rolls Royce Ghost...a very Thomas Crown moment. The DB9 was set aside for me and in pristine condition. After a 15 minute drive I signed the papers and headed back to Houston. Two weeks later, well...you see the results. Best moment - immediately upon recieving the car on a gorgeous afternoon, taking that first drive just for myself and slipping in a Sinatra CD. When I hit the gas, the car just howled and jumped off the pavement. I then started laughing out loud like a 5 year old. This, my friends, isn't really about a car. It's about living.
mfrankel- thanks to your exellent advice, had the ClearBra applied before taking delivery.
