No go on the DBS - how about Vantage S to V12V?

Well, we couldn't get the numbers to work on the DBS. I may, however, have an opportunity to get into a preowned '12 V12V. I'm still going to take a bath on my car but the price difference between my S and the V12 may be favorable for considering a trade. The question is whether the V12V is a significant upgrade to my S. I've heard people (not V12V owners) say the cars are close in performance, but I can't imagine how that could be with the huge difference in torque.

The driving experience is very, very different. I loved my V8V (2007 with power pack upgrade, exhaust, etc.) but the V12V is simply a different car. Yet, as Sunir stated, still familiar enough that you easily adjust.

I've never driven a V8VS but I had a 4.7 L sport pack and there is NO comparison between that and the V12V. So unless the 'S' is WAY more car than the sport pack V8V, performance comparisons to the V12V are not valid.
I don't doubt the V8VS handles well, but the flexibility of the V12, the Corsa tires and CCM brakes shouldn't be underestimated.

V8s it lighter so its easier to maneuver but thats about it, v12 v will out perform it in all other aspects and at the end of the day you will drive any curve faster with V12.
its a huge upgrade

Right now I may throw a monkey wrench into everything and test drive the 2013 R8 V10 with the dual clutch. Interestingly enough I received three different trade values for my car, with my own dealer being $15k less than the others I spoke with
