Solution to hide Key Slot on Drivers Door - Vantage V8

I had a question for you all.

Does anybody make a cover or plug to hide the Key Slot on the drivers side door for the Vantage V8?
I've searched the web with no luck.

Thks .

you ever think of using those bumper hole covers? Won't be perfect but probably will get the job done without any invasive procedures

Thks -

I might just see the "key plugs" from other brands work on the Aston.

Really hate the way in which this was designed - The GTR uses a similar idea for the door handle, but the key is hidden behind the handle so you never see it (plus the key physically stows away into the FOB, in case you need to use it)

A plug is never going to look very good. If it bothers you hugely, either have them removed entirely by a good body shop and smoothed and repainted (saw this done on a BMW X5 recently, it came out well) or take the lock out and have the silver metal painted or anodized to your body color.

Filling & repainting is the 'right' answer... BUT a 'lot' to go thru for the look... and then you risk matching other panels, etc. I have been on the fence on other cars and never pulled the trigger.. if smoothed over... the lock is really gone... that 'may' be an issue some day.

I have used these and they should work fine on any lock... only $11 and you can have them painted. I think it looks better than the metal keyhole by far. See pict.

Select 'key hole covers' on the left

or

what you don't see is that the back is a little slot piece you just push in the lock. Never had them fall out. no glue.

What I have also done with cars is to go to a vinyl sticker or sign shop... pick a shade of 'sticker' (they have metal flake silvers, etc)... and get them to make 3/4" circles for me. that would cover the lock at the paint surface.. not touching the silver lock itself. If thin enough it works.. just don't push on it. They hold up fine through washing and at quick look are very good... also for very little spent.

2cts for low buck options. And I think this is what you were asking for... haven't seen them sold anywhere else.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Definitely don't want to remove the lock or do any bodywork, I was thinking along the lines of the keyhole plug. Not that expensive and if it doesn't look right, just remove it.

The sticker idea sounds like a great option - might do a dark tint to match the two LED slots.

It's a small thing, but really bugs me. Thks again.
