Any Aston Owners have Motorcycles?
As far as long-distance riding goes, I've been back and forth across the US a few times North-South and East-West. I qualified to join the "Iron-Butt Association" about 8-years ago, by riding more than 1000 miles in less than 24-hours (the Saddle-sore 1000) and continuing on for over 1500 miles in less than 36-hours (the Bun-burner 1500). I also qualified by doing their "National Parks tour", where you visit at least 50 Natonal Parks/Monunments (I did 64) in at least 25-States (I did 28) in less than
one-year. As I get older, I'm down to about 5,000 miles/year on my Bike.
I've tried to live by the Philosophy of "You have to grow OLD, but you don't have to grow UP!" I think the key is to maintain a sense of humor.

hero status.
I read somewhere that Aston Martin Design Director, Marek Reichman, has a Ducati 996, which he keeps in his house (i.e.not his garage.) I imagine in a probably not dissimilar fashion to dpb above.

I've got a BMW R1200GS for the street and a GSXR-750 for the track. LOVE the BMW. I've had a couple Hondas and 2 other BMWs before. Last one was a K1200S. When I hit 167 indicated on the way back from Indianapolis a couple years ago on 68, I decided it was time for something a bit tamer for the street.
Anyone here own a Buell? I use to have a few of those (XB9R, XB12R, 1125R). It's a shame Harley shut them down!

Today I have a 2006 Harley custom springer classic (completely pimped with phatail, big motor, etc.), a 2008 Ducati 1098 (also pimped) and a one-off 2004 OCC Corvette theme chopper.
I need add something more comfortable and I've been eyeing that K1600GT. I was thinking about picking up a used 1200 or 1300, but I find that 1600 very enticing. How's that headlight?

dbp is another forum member. he posted on the first page about keeping his bike in his living room, which is what FatFrank was referring to (with a slight typo).

As drCollie says: "A GS is a great ride. I had an '06 that I farkled within an inch of its life. " Yup, that's total farkle with lots of lights. One thing I like, that you don't have, is "foot-forward pegs" mounted in place of the spark plug covers on the valve covers. Sure helps for longer rides to be able to stretch my legs. Also I see you rode "The tail of the Dragon"--we have a similar ride on Hwy 49 in Northern CA, Sierraville to Bassets Station.
Bikes also,
I have a 2007 BMW R1200RT with 48,000 miles currently. It's my 5th BMW.
We just bought our first Aston, a 2000 DB7 Vantage Volante, Pentland Green.
We also have a 1980 M-B 280 SL, a1987 M-B 560 SEC, a 2007 M-B R320CDI, and a 2006 Acura TSX.
The 280 SL has 276,000 miles on the original engine and has never been apart. This week it's going in to have the engine rebuilt.

I have two Harleys as well. A 2013 Ultra Classic Limited (the wife just had to have the two tone orange and that was the only model left with it), and a 2002 CVO Wide Glide.
The Limited replaced my Street Glide, the CVO bike replaced my 97 Softail Custom. Which replaced my ZX14 and Honda Magna. Which replaced my RC-51, SV650S and little Ninja 250 starter bike.
