What kind of 2-wheelers do you have parked next to your Aston Martin? Any? I'm curious to see if anyone else here rides and what your tastes run to if you do.

I have two that are in the bay next to my Vantage, a 2012 6-cylinder BMW K1600GTL and an older 2004 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS for when I want to just run short errands. The big BMW gets the nod more often than not - its the motorcycle equivalent of a DBS.

i'm still learning to ride, but i'm planning to get a 600cc sport bike this winter to turn into a track bike for next year. i'm terrified of other drivers so i don't plan to do any riding on the street, and tracking a bike is probably a lot cheaper in the long run than tracking my V8 Vantage lol. probably going to get a CBR600RR or a Triump 675R.

If anything a mountain bike or something I could use to Bike for exercise. I love sport bikes (Duc 996 and GSXR-750 were my fav back in the day) but I've had too many friends die on sport bikes, it's not the rider(s) I don't trust it's all the clueless and horrible drivers out there that make up 95% of the general public.

^^^ Telum you are a brave man! First off Moab is no joke., second I HATE stationary heights (not flying or helicopters, but tall buildings, ledges, cliffs etc...I know weird right) so that 200ft cliff wouldn't sit well w me.

I would be Biking mostly in the city or thru the trails in the park, easy stuff

i was invincible back then. now? probably couldn't do it!

back to the topic, i'm really looking forward to getting a sport bike. i've been playing around on a pit bike just to get used to the controls and it's goofy fun haha.

drcollie - if you know of anyone selling a 600cc bike for a good price, let me know. i'm hoping to be in the Chantilly area soon (was supposed to be up there by now) for a job. supposedly everything's in line, just waiting for the gov customer to get things done on their end. meh, hopefully it'll actually come through.

If you want a track bike, get one already set up - lots less cash outlay that way. Here's one just popped up for sale, but you'll have to be registered on this forum to see the ad - it's a 675cc Triumph dedicated track bike. $ 5,500 in Denver CO.

I ride a 2006 Yamaha R1. More appropriately though, I stare it it every day as its living room furniture most of its life... literally. It sits just behind my main chain in my living room, and I only take it out a few times a year. It's basically a track bike for me, as I rarely ride on the street anymore. Once I found what was possible on the track with this kind of machinery the street was no longer interesting (or I'd be dead)... and I hate commuting on the bike. I've very conscientious about gear when riding and never get on the machine without being fully covered in leathers. Riding the bike for anything other than high flying fun just isn't interesting... I usually will take it out for a few street rides in spring, and without fail I'm in 120mph+ range on freeway onramps (just too easy), so it's probably best I keep it on the track. :-) My first bike was a Triumph Daytona that I sold a year ago.

I ride a BMW R1200RT for my longer rides and a Kawi KLR-650 for shorter off-road stuff. I started riding street in '99 (when I turned 64) and have about 130,000 miles since then.
