Roadside Assistance - Reunite
Roadside Assistance - Reunite
Has anyone had to use roadside assistance before. I did recently and they came and picked up the car in a nice inclosed trailer. Though now that the work is complete I'm being told they no longer reunite the car. The service manager says he's done it for 10 years and not sure why they won't do it now and that corporate won't provide the authorization number. Even when I called roadside to pick up the car they said the dealer would arrange to have it returned. I've been told by three separate dealers that reuniting is standard procedure when I purchased the car. That was a big reason I bought the car since I live so far from a dealer.
I got a hold of a John Strickland (the person my service manager contacted for the authorization number) at the corporate office and he says they never have reunited cars (though I found it very interesting he used the same term "reunite" as everyone else). I find it very hard to believe when he's the only person that has said they have never returned the car.

After a fair number of calls they're returning my car today. While on the phone with the roadside operator I ask about it and they said they return Astons after service any time it's over 150 miles. Still puzzled why the rep was saying otherwise.
This would frustrate me...
