I noticed something on my drive home tonight... There appear to be vertical lines that bleed from the letters on the radio display screen. They run the entire height of the screen. They are fainter than the text itself, but they are definitely there and I can see them scroll across the screen when the text scrolls. Has anyone else noticed this? Is something wrong with the display?
Here's a photo...

Try turning the brightness down, that might fix it
I tried that but it didn't help. Also, I hadn't adjusted the brightness since new and it just started doing this. The text looks a bit blown out in the photo, but that is just because I shot it close up in the dark with my phone.
I've never seen that issue, but I had the radio display go wonky with crazy characters all over once on me during hot months. heat thing?
It was really only about 75ş F here. She had been parked in the garage for about an hour so hadn't had a chance to cool off or get any air moving over the temp sensor.
Is that the Linn audi or alpine or B&O? I've not noticed these lines on my display in my DB9 but I haven't looked super closely either .... Maybe have a tech take a look at it?

It's the Alpine, although I believe the B&O should use the same display. It would be pretty obvious at night if yours did the same thing.

If I adjust the brightness down then I can't see the rest of my instruments well enough for my liking. Seeing as it's a new car still under warranty there's no reason not to have them take a look at it. In fact, I'm taking her in tomorrow. I'll update with results.
Just a quick update... Dropped off the car and got it back with a new radio display. AM replaced it under warranty without putting up a fuss. Just had to wait a while for approval and the part to come in. The actual install was done in a day.
I know this is an old thread but couldn’t find much on this issue....my DBS is showing the “vertical lines” as well. Just recently started happening. I’m assuming the screen needs replacing but wanted to make sure there wasn’t any other fixes. Picture for reference below.
Hey All, wanted to revive this thread. I'm having the exact same vertical lines issue as shown above and wanted to see if someone may have found a repair? Or if in this situation there's no solution other than replacing the display?
I've been researching and have seen the other common problem related to the delaminating polarizing film, but these vertical lines seem to be different, perhaps pixel bleeding? I assume a delaminating film would be messy, not perfectly straight lines along the text like this example.
If no other solution I might just try removing the film anyway just in the off chance it is related.
I have everything taken apart because I'm doing some other interior repairs and wanted to try and tackle this all at once.
The other option would be to try and find a replacement display screen by itself, and based on pictures it seems like the cluster display and radio display are the exact same? It would just be a matter of trying to find a third party screen from somewhere like mouser.
Appreciate any thoughts!
