550rwhp

With Bigger injectors, boost-a-pump at 9psi. Runs completely off the AM ECU, no piggyback. Needs bigger MAFs next.

Very impressive. Have you done any recent videos driving? You had a couple good older ones.

Have you recorded any 0-60 or quarter mile times?

I've got a performancebox unused in my cupboard. I'll give that a go soon. Unfortunately a 60-130 run requires 3 (2-3, 3-4, 4-5) shifts and I am a crappy shifter. Don't really get up enough acceleration at 60 in 3rd gear, but I could raise the revlimiter to go through 130 in 4th I Think. Only new car around is a 2013 BMW M5.

Congrats on the power! These beautiful cars really should be delivered with 550+ bhp. Your rwhp figure is very impressive and I'll bet makes the cars a lot more fun. I like to tinker with my cars also but I think I'm going to leave my '12 V8Vs alone for at least the first year.

A couple of questions (as I missed your build thread):
1) what type of boost did you go with? Turbo, centrifugal supercharger or roots supercharger?
2) What device did you use to retune the factory ecu? Is it 'end-user' friendly or do I need to have full programming rights.
3) 9lbs of boost is nothing to play with on a stock British motor. What have you done to beef-up the motor?

Thanks in advance

The motor is not really a stock British motor. It is a Ford derived engine that had the benefits of Ford's very stringent durability testing in Cologne. I have spoken with several of the head engineers at AM and all feel this engine is very solid.

For some reason, this makes me feel better.

lol! No. That design is a rip off, but I like it. I think it is one of the best looking Fords ever - besides the Mustang and new GT (wasn't a fan of the old GT40, other than its rank as a revolutionary function/design).

haha, well now that you said you like it, it's okay for me too, LOL...
everytime I see one of those Fords......I look.......
they do look pretty sweet in the front....
my favorite modern front end is still on my 2011 E550.....
has such an aggressive style......for my price range lol

9psi on centrifugal supercharger with water heat exchanger. AM ECU accessed with Kess V2 Alientech serial reader. Unfortunately it is NOT very user friendly. You have full read-write access but very little has been programmed for you - only spark and fuel. I needed to decode the Ford EEC6 map headers then compare to known Ford EEPROM that had already been "cracked" to understand enough to program the DBW for FI, injector data etc. You then need to write your own driver programs to modify the data. Not for the faint of heart but fun if you like that sort of thing. Motor remains stock for now.
