V12 Vantage Roadster has arrived !
thanks ! Quite few Q bits on the car - stick was specified that way by me so I could get the whole stick & gaiter colour co-ordinated. Also the metal one is a little high IMO and gets very very cold in the winter
^^^ the shifter looks like the same in a manual v8v or DB9, I quite like it the leather feel in the palm...the metal one feels a bit chunkier and does get cold or hot depending on temp change.
thank you so much for al the compliments, very kind. I'm over the moon with the car
In answer to the questions in the posts above, the interior is lords red, a 'contemporary' colour so a 'standard cost option'. The contrast coarse stitch is in silver, again a 'standard' option but the quilting is stitched in a matched red stitch
The exterior colour was launched for the DBS Carbon edition, launched after the carbon black edition, before the ultimate edition. It's a special request colour
The gearstick is essentially the same in the V8, DB9, V12 Zag and even the works manual conversion for Vanquish mark I. The metal stick is standard in DBS & V12 Vantage coupe/roadster. I originally looked at the possibility of replicating the stick in the V12 Vantage RS Coupe concept, which was all alcantara but looked similar to the metal stick, but that was going to be way too expensive with one off tooling - I liked the idea of a colour coded stick hence going down the route I did
The stick & gaiter are in lords red with silver coarse 'double stitch', all a Q request, to match the coarse silver double stitch on the steering wheel at 12'0Clock
Other Q work is lords red leather with silver coarse stitch in the following: carpet trim, umbrella straps, handle in boot (all of which are normally only available in black), liquid silver wheels, the diamond quilted seats, fitted luggage in lords red and replacing the matt handles with piano black (I've kept the Carbon Fibre door pulls (standard to the V12V) and gone for the new V12 interior carbon pack which comprises upper facia/ski slope & gear stick surround, so the centre section is a mix of piano black & CF. I liked the idea of the doors having the same combo of finishes hence the door handle change)
