Get an extra set of wheels and use some R-compound tires for your track days. Not only will your cornering times and stopping distances improve dramatically - you'll have way more fun and not tear up your street tires.

A track car is in the works. The AM is great on the track but the consumables cost too much. R compound is the way to go for sure. But, PSS is a great street and track tire.

Interesting read. As per the author's recommendation, I just replaced my 6 year old Potenzas (at 15K, lots of tread left) with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Used them on a couple of my other cars and they are great tires. Highly recommended by my very knowledgeable tire store - lots of Porsches, BMWs, etc. in the bays every time I visit.
