Replaced my V8VS
The search is finally almost over. Assuming the car passes the PPI, I'll have this car in 3 weeks. I now need to sell my car! I'm considering consigning but figure I'll offer it up here first. Here is a link to all of the details: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...vantage-s.html.
Here is a picture of the new car. It's a 2008 F430 Scuderia

:You are going to love it! Totally different machine to the Aston, but one that I have had the pleasure of driving. Fantastically precise piece of machinery that gives really incredible feedback and 'connectedness.'
Your timing is lousy (I guess its actually my timing, as usual). Your Vantage S is exactly what I was thinking of upgrading my Vantage to. Unfortunately I was thinking next year and even if I wanted to do it sooner would have to sell mine first.
I'm sure when I'm ready the only thing around will be bright orange with an odd set of options.

Awesome car Ross...Scud is a winner...how do you like the gearbox...it's one of my fav gearboxes and clutch combos. Bring it to Summit Point for a FATT or other event where I will be instructing! Lets have some fun with it

Ross I changed your title to this thread. You cannot post sales notices in a title outside of the classifieds. I have, however, allowed you to keep your link to your classified ad for your v8vs within the body of your initial post on this thread.
Sorry Sunir! Let me know when you are doing an FATT and I will try to attend. I need a few week advanced notice though. Also, if you are instructing at a DE let me know as well. I plan to track the car once or twice
Ross, finally someone who can describe the transmission feel of the V8VS...
I've driven a Scud and remember the shifting well. Can you take a stab at describing the feel of the 7spd in the S in comparison?
I've noticed your S on Autotrader and keep wondering if yours might be my step up. Plus, Tungsten to Tungsten, my GF might not even notice I've changed cars...shame your calipers aren't red though...

. The Vantage S is the ultimate V8 Vantage in my opinion. I've owned the 4.3L and driven plenty of 4.7L's and the S is perfect. Anyone that says the S isn't worth the extra hasn't driven the S for longer than a test drive. The suspension is stiffer yet still refined, the Sport button makes you grin, and the exhaust note is incredible! I'd argue that it sounds better than the V12V! There are many other differences as well. If you are interested let me know. Regarding the difference of the SportShift II and the F1 Superfast, they are completely different. The SportShift II is a huge upgrade over the first generation but it shifts different than the Scud. The standard F430 is somewhat similar but still different if that makes sense. The Scud is raw and visceral by design. When at WOT the shifts are hard and violent like a track car should be where the Vantage S is a fast shift and makes your neck snap a little bit. They are 2 cars with a completely different focus.
I will once I get it. I'm going private sale. I really wanted to buy through FoW but things just didn't work out. They are great guys and I'm looking forward to having them service it.
