Sounds like the decision we knew was inevitable is official: http://www.aston-martin.com/2013/05/...-discontinued/
I wonder if this means they will eliminate the V12 from the vantage all together and up the power on the V8 to the point where the V12 is no longer necessary. They may make the vantage a V8 only model in the future to not compete with its V12 flagships (actually a very smart idea). Roadsters will be made but it sounds like they aren't getting many orders for the roadster.

They have stopped making the V12V as it has hit the 1000 the said they would limit it to outside the US.
No evidense of that yet, it's an assumption. Makes no sense why they would stop the V12 vantage, only to bring it right back. Seems very odd, unless they are doing that to force people to buy the slow selling roadsters.
Who knows...they stop and start things often, they stopped DB9, then made Virage...only to drop it after a couple of years and rebadge DB9 on it thereafter...using the same Virgage car...
They will do whatever the bean counters deem neccessary for sales figures.

We already knew they would not bring the V12V in the US for 13 as it does not meet emissions. The 12.5 cars were the last ones. If they bring the car back it will most likely be a 15 with the Vanquish engine. Just have to wait and see.
For all those thinking about a V12 this is the time to buy while prices are low. Prices will only go up once they are gone for good. Total cars in the US for 11 and 12 were only 169 plus the 12.5 cars which were supposed to be around 40. Does anyone have the exact final figures?

You cannot order a build from your dealer.
A few UK guys have tried and been turned down.
ALL the 101 roadsters have been built and most sold.
There are a few unsold with the dealers which they are not moving on the price.
There are a few coupes knocking around as well.
The next generation V12V will be part of the new Vantage range apparently due in 2014. It is supposed to gain the Vanquish engine and gearbox (no manual) I suspect they will detune it to "make room" for the DB9.2 & Vanquish

Hadn't heard about a new Vantage range. Are you saying they're doing a refresh?

The V12 roadster is not slow selling, most were preordered at list price, there are a handful with dealers but absolutely no discounting on them.
They will probably take the revised interior and dash from the Vanquish and clone it in to the Vantage. Then they will do some body updates consistent with the evolution of the DBS to the Vanquish.
What they do with the pricing just depends.
