V12s will take a hit as new vantage S new spreads... In next 12-24 months we should see them in the 120k range. Which should push down the v8vs as well. With that said, it appears the vantage base price is still in the 65k range, once they get to that range they get snatched up so quick. I'm sure the same thing will happen to the V12s, they will never go below 100k ever in my opinion, especially given it is the last V12 manual sports car ever made by any major mass production manufacturer.

Aston just put out a press release that the V12V S will do 0-60 in 3.7 s. Not bad! Of course a lot of the improvement (nearly a half second) will be due to electronic assistance from the new transmission. Still . . .

I drove one yesterday at Brands Hatch. I currently own a V12V, sadly I will need to buy the V12VS.

I cannot say more other than the switchable suspension adds significantly to the usability of the car. It has 3 modes (normal, sport & track) and track is very similar to the V12V currently. The gearbox is excellent and improvements in brakes (smoother and less noisy) and steering (variable assistance) gets rid of the low speed judder and improves the car. On track it was awesome and the extra mid-range torque is noticeable. As with the V12V, try it you buy it..... this is no different.

Sorry under NDA to not say too much as these are pre-production cars, however if you get a chance to drive one, you will not be disappointed. If you take a fantastic car already and add these upgrades, what did you expect

^^^Happy, and sad (as a current V12V owner), to hear this. You're very lucky to be able to drive this car!

Does AM plan to make a roadster version of the V12VS?

There will no doubt be a US version of the roadster, they need the sales and there is a ready market for that car.

They didn't bring the V12VR here, though.

Exactly, but by the time that car was ready for US import (2013 model year)the 12 cylinder engine no longer met US emission standards.

I'm guessing the new Bosch ECU on the V12VS will change that!

Why would a new ECU bring an engine to emission standards?

The old system was very outdated, didn't even give knock control on the V12
It gave 388 g/km in the V12V, the Bosch system on the updated AM11 engine gives 335g/km of CO2 in the Vanquish 2

AM regularly struggles to meet ever reducing emission limits
