Another AC ?

My AC cut off under full acceleration and came back immediately upon decelerating. Is this normal? I had another car that did this intentionally (a turbo diesel) and assume it is the same, but when you assume... any input would be greatly appreciated

If it's engine speed related, I am betting the money on the a/c compressor unit. It's belt driven by the crank.

Also, have you checked the alternator voltage? Find a way to measure voltage while driving, eg cigarette lighter source.

astondoc is infamous around these parts
Hi, Most modern performance cars have an A/C cutout during WOT, it is programmed into the ECU..Gives you that xtra HP (1-2) and prevents A/C compressor/clutch from letting go at high RPM..

Yes, this is normal behavior for the a/c.
