2012 V8V - TSB for Throttle Pedal

Just got a phone call from the dealer here in Dallas informing me that there is a Technical Service Bulletin on my 2012 V8V. An AM Technician will be coming to my house in Houston on Friday to swap out the throttle pedal. Anyone else hear of this?

It apparently affects other models as well. My Vantage is a 2012.25 year model, effectively the same as the 2013 car. I therefore believe it may primarily affect 2013 and 2014 model year ranges, but I can't say for sure.

Apparently it has to do with the accelerator pedal having the potential to become disconnected from the rest of the assembly. I'll try to find out more when I get the service done on Friday. I'll also try to take some before and after pics to see what the differences are and let others see if their pedals look like they might be similarly affected.

So the tech came out and made the swap on my accelerator pedal. The problem is apparently across the model range for the 2012-2014 cars. The armature has a tendency to break near the upper portion of the assembly. The broken pedal that you see in the photos came off another owners DB-9, it apparently snapped whilst he was driving. The last photo is of my old pedal, you can see where the tech has marked on it. Better the accelerator than the brake I suppose!

So far haven't been able to take the car out of the garage since the swap, but did notice that the delay between the pedal movements and the engine response seems noticeably longer than before. I'll need to test it out on the road to see, hopefully it's nothing.
