Moving from Ace Wheels to HRE's

ACE WHEELS HAVE BEEN SOLD. 07/16/13

I bought a set of HRE P40's in 20" size from a forum member and mounted them up today...I've always had a 'thing' for HRE's and finally a set came up that was almost - kinda affordable so I puller the trigger on them. Here they are on my '07 Vantage

Now I have the 19" Ace Wheels and tires for sale if anyone here is interested. They've been on the car for 1,200 miles, the Bridgestone S-03's in stock factory size have 6,700 miles on them, they are expertly mounted with factory Aston TPS sensors in all (4) wheels and there is not a mark on them. Those TPS sensors are not cheap so I'm thinking $ 2K for the set as shown + shipping or pickup in Alexandria VA. Ready to go - dont' need or want stock wheels in trade - have a set in the basement already. No plugs or patches in the tires, they have lots of life left in them.

I'll have to get the good camera out for better shots of the HRE's - that was just the iPhone.

I'm debating whether or not to drop the car 3/4" now. I have the H&R springs in the box and my spring compressors ready to go....but I'm wondering if I'll be too low, I already scrape driveway aprons as it is! (Yes, I know you guys will all want me to drop it - you dont care if I bugger up my front spoiler!)

And they can be yours! Also, if anyone wants just the wheels (no tires, no TPS sensors) $ 1,000 shipped 48 state US.

I agree too, I like the Ace better, but I'm a little biased since I have the same Ace wheels on my car.

Looks great Duane. You sure didnt waste any time mounting them...definitely need more pics though. I think lowering the car is a great idea...I wish I did, it really would complete the look....funny how these wheels transform the look of the car. For some reason I always thought they look much better in person than in photos. The rear wheel concavity is much more noticeable in person....enjoy them in good health!

Duane, congrats on your new wheels. I'm interested at your Ace wheels. May I know the tire sizes on them? Thanks.

HA! No I didn't Chirag...straight from meeting you to get them and to my garage. I was able to use the lug nuts from my Ace Wheels to mount them up. I was very surprised at how light the HRE's are and was prepared to pay a little bit of a penalty for harshness moving to 20"er's but they ride glass smooth and you were right, you CAN notice the difference in handling with the light wheels. I took a better photo of them today with a real camera in front of my store (not the best background) - jury is still out on whether or not to drop the right height on the cars, haven't' decided.....
