If anyone is wondering about reliability of a DB9 this should explain it!
IF that DB9 has had decent service (at least oil changes) ... looks about as good as the pictures... Someone got a screaming good deal. Its almost worth buying and just putting together a MUCH better e-bay ad.. with shots in front of an expensive house...better lighting, etc... so you can get $15k more out of it!
We'd all probably have more faith in the car if it had a $50k reserve!

^^^ Not a chance..... $50k reserve and no description? Really? Not with a ten foot pole! Somebody prolly got screwed is more like it.... Pictures can be VERY deceiving. Might be a 20 footer but, prolly worse. Who on earth would pay $37k for this thing? Be interested to see if this deal really happens.
You are being too kind! That's the worst car ad I have ever seen!
I don't mean to sound like too much of a snob but some of the backdrop settings in the photos don't inspire confidence in the car or sale........not sure I would bid on it no matter how cheap....
2005 AM DB9 - Nada (Consumer) shows low retail $67k, avg retail $70k, high retail $70k..trade-in value would be less and the fact that it was in 2 accidents (depending on nature of accidents) devalues it further (plus w/ 90k miles.) Hmmm.. very tough to buy a car online - especially on ebay - without having seen it...but someone out there definitely thought it was worth at least $37k as is....
Hey guys - just stumbled upon this when trying to find out maintenance expenses on a db9 - hah! I am the winner of the auction. I look for deals like this in the exotic space every so often, and have had pretty good success so far (with a GTR, my current car, and an older ferrari 360) - both had terrible ebay/craigslist ads, and I was able to get a great deal on both. Of course, this method has led to tons of terrible cars that I passed up on!
I am the sucker who paid $37k! But, after talking with the owner, I really feel like he just doesn't speak english well or know how to build an ebay ad. I am going to go checkout the car and let you guys know what I find. I think it COULD be a diamond in the rough. I'm aware of the accident history as well. Any tips of things I should checkout? I am trying to find the closest AM dealership to get the car checked out. He also seems to have a lot of documentation on the maintenance as well, just again, terrible at making ebay ads!

Maybe find a high performance car specialist in the area to check it out. Not neccessarily AM.
I would definately get it on a ramp and thoroughly look under the car for damage.
Sounds like you know what you are doing... Best of luck !

That being said, I wish someone would have been able to tell me the 2009 GTR's were plagued with transmission issues (but this was in 2009, so who can blame them!)
I would love to put 100k more miles on this car - my main concern is maintenance. I am used to the GTR oil change of $300. The GTR has an underbody that makes it somewhat difficult to do on some jack stands, but the db9 seems like I could actually do it myself - which is exciting

Any advice would be greatly appreciate - I'll make sure to be very detailed and take lots of pics - keeping you guys up to date and seeing how it goes!
Edit: V8V and Supra? Nice combo!
