So I've had the antenna removed and the roof refurb is underway.
This is the easy bit.

Now, the amplifier for the radio is in the stub that sits on top of the roof (V8V). I still have this intact.

Any recommendations for internal antennas/amplifiers that could be used in place of it?

Also where is the fuse(s) for the head unit/sat nav located? Since the aerial was removed there is no function from sat nav and radio/cd/dension ipod unit (incl charging iphone). Radio obviously...but the rest? I suspect a fuse is blown?

 

Here's what I did. Not a perfect match, but nobody notices because nobody ever looks at the antenna.
