My Porsche is even lower than the AM, but that means nothing...they both scrape!

Don't lower if you are too worried about scraping. I would change your swaybars to something thicker. I wonder if the swaybars on the GT4 would fit an older Vantage.

The front looks to be able to take a "speedway" style swaybar and you could always opt for adjustable arms to dial in your handling. Price will be in the $700+ range, but I know where you drive and it will be money well spent.

That is the sizes I was going to run but MichSS dont come in the front configuration and I really prefer those tires. What kind are you running?

We have so many driveway transition aprons here in Virginia that I think I best stay stock height.

Hi Duane

Just sent you a visitor message about your springs...

Tell me more, not sure what a speedway style swaybar is. This is for '11 V8VS.

@DoubleLow7 can you post pics of your skid plate, I'm in the process of installing V12 bumpers along with carbon fiber splitter and rear defuser. I was worried about scraping the front splitter, but it sounds like you have a great solution to that problem

I have a 07 vantage and found the suspension a bit too soft. How much do the springs (the less aggressive set) improve handling? Very noticeable or marginal?
And how much does it affect the ride. I don't want the ride to be rock hard.
Thx

Thanks. They look awesome.

I have ordered a set of ADV 1 wheels in track spec. 20x9 and 20x11. I got 245/35 and 285/30 for two reasons, more sidewall and to get the ferrari spec MSS tires in Ferrari spec, due to the almost 15lb weight savings.

Just Google "speedway swaybar" and you will see what I mean. There is some home work involved. You will need to figure out how thick of a bar to get (the straight bar going across), and then the length and style of the arms.

You could even get a ****pit adjustable arm, but then you will need to get through your firewall to mount the adjuster, etc.

If you really get interested in this project I might just do it with you as well.

I'm fine with the comfort level but that's a very subjective topic.

It takes some effort to pay attention around potholes and speed bumps, but I've gotten used to cringing so usually it isn't an issue.

On decently smooth roads, the ride is fantastic. One rough roads, it's fine but you'll notice the bumps. I don't mind it and wouldn't go back to stock.

Mikey, there is a set of springs enroute from my manufacturer to my tester right now. We are aiming for a 0.5-0.75" drop, and using a proprietary process which allows a true progressive rate spring.

Could be good on the A & B roads, and not TOO aggressive on the lowering.

I have H&R springs and love the ride - but it is a pain dealing with it ... If I didn't live in "flat" Florida - I would think twice about em ...

Does the bottom of your splitter have any scrape marks on it already?

I may actually plan on getting Stuarts "True Progressive" springs from Velocity as the H&Rs are just too much of a drop (my subjective option). Also roads in Texas can be terrible even in the best of places, and my driveway entrance is steep.

If Stuart is willing to sell me just the rears I will definitely like to lower the rears as it sits higher than the fronts. I do not want to risk scraping the front chin by lowering it in Houston, it's already "close".

By squatting the rear it will lower the back end and improve the handling of the car in transitions as I always felt the rear of the car always lagged in rebound speed compared to the fronts (which I never really had any problems with.). The V8 Vantage does have a heavier rear weight bias so most of the dynamic improvements need to happen at the rear of the car. I notified a significant improvement in the rear shock rebound rate when I upgraded to 2-piece brake rotors last time as it shaved 18lbs total and really helped the rear end stay much more planted as if it has an additional aero spoiler. Such is the benefit of massive weight reduction on rotating mass.

The remainder of the improvement will be achieved when I switch to the 2-piece brake rotors from Velocity both front and rear as the stock rotors are just way too heavy (which is partly why our Vantages have such a notoriously rough ride when it comes for he first inch of initial suspension travel. Paradoxically after that first inch it gets way too soft. I am glad Stu is taking the initiative to do this new generation of springs because it's honestly something we have needed for quite some time as a community.

So how bought them rear springs Stu?

P.s. I would like to know the stock spring rates front /rear and how the range of the true progressive rate springs to get an idea how soft it is initially and how sporty it gets at the limit.
