E Brake Procedures

Anybody have the procedure for adjusting the e-brake on a 2012 Vantage? I replaced the rotors and now the e-brake is to tight. I think I can see how's it's done but sometimes there are little tricks that should be followed.

Thanks in advance.

No trick and no adjusting needed when doing rotors...you just didn't un-wind the parking brake caliper piston...Take it all apart again and wind back both parking brake calipers piston, then after everything is fitted back together..pull on the parking brake a couple times to get the piston back into the correct place to apply force...i would stronger suggest now to move the car untill you get this solved..or you WILL be ordering a new clutch by the time you get to the end of your driveway

Yep, I did exactly as you suggested. There is a locking pin on the back of the parking brake caliper that threw me for a loop. After scratching my head for a while, I decided that it had something to do with removing the main spring and left it alone. Brakes are adjusted and working fine.

I installed a pair of two-piece brembo rotors that I hope will help with the heat issues. It seems like that is what leads to the rears squealing so much on these cars. Hopefully I bedded the new pads correctly. It's a little more difficult to bring the rear pads up to temp the you can the front. It all goes well, I should be able to report back here in a few weeks with a solution to the noisy rear brake problem (on my car at least).

Thank you for confirming my thoughts.
