Interior Driver side Door handle Woes...

started to touch on it here, but obviously a lot going on in that thread..

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...om-quirks.html

i went to tighten the nuts on my arm rest (removing the aluminum door grab) i removed it very cautiously.. but 5th time opening door after which it did not want to open..

i removed it again, seeing that whenyou pull it... the plastic "fixed" piece slides off the metal "L" bracket...

after bending the L slightly over 90, it did it once more so i wedged a piece of wood in there to prevent it from coming off..

now it does not want to open the door again but exterior latch works fine.

i feel that it's the side inside the door binding up. (as it takes increased pressure to pull)

anyone have the write up to inspect that piece.. or any idea of cost?.. when i removed the door skin the cable went to behind the metal.. i see the exterior door latch and it works fine.. i assume the part that controls the driver door is the problem

anyone ever have this problem before? i find it important to exit my vehicle!
