Yep
Only time I've seen AM discount a built to order car is on new models around the Model year change (like my S) to get new models out there

So far, I've only found one dealer that is willing to give a discount on the prices. Is this normal. If not, what is a typical discount that I should expect.

So far, I've been offered $8000 on a fully optioned car for a final total price of approximately $161K.

Good deal, or no?

Thanks in advance.
I was fortunate enough to find a 2013 Vantage S that was specked close enough to what I would have ordered at that dealership. Mehdi was great... Just go back to him and work the deal a little harder & good luck!

Well "almost exactly what you wanted" didn't you swap out the rear bumper and diffuser for the pre-12.5MY style from another owner's car?

Well yes I did Mr. Franz. I asked the factory to do it for me through the Q program and they wanted $12,000. So I said thanks but no thanks and took care of it myself after I took delivery for considerably less. NOW it is exactly like I wanted it

Yeah, Q is all talk and no delivery. They purposely put ridiculously outrageous prices on jobs they don't want to do so that no one will be foolish to take them up on them. This is why I decided to become my own Q department for my upgrades. I've never turned down a job I wanted to do to my own cars.

Terminal_ac, I commend you for ordering your Vantage exactly the way you wanted it, with no compromise! Please post pictures when you take delivery. In the mean time tell us the colors you chose for exterior and interior. Congratulations!

Why is there no information on the wholesale price of these cars? Can't find a lick about dealer wholesale!

They make about 20k on a vantage, cost vs retail. Not sure about any hold back or anything else.

I was told by a manager there is about 15k of profit built in not including hold back.

The actual "cost" of the vehicle is never clear due to factory programs (cash back to the dealer)… BTW, In my opinion, It's okay for the dealer to make money on the sale of an Aston Martin. Without profitable dealers in the US there would be no AM representation here.

I agree about the dealer making a profit. My only concern is in the dealer making an excessive amount of profit.

All-in-all, with Aston Martin, it appears to be a very gray area (pricing). I believe I've gone as far as I possibly can on this one.

Thanks to all who responded. Will keep everyone updated.

Trust me on this one. AM dealers are not making excessive profits. I'd wager most barely sell enough cars to cover their overheads at the moment!

The Factory can & does throw in trunk money, often changes on a month to month basis, but on a 2014 build-to-order there's probably not much on the table.
