About to order a 2014 V8VS
Only time I've seen AM discount a built to order car is on new models around the Model year change (like my S) to get new models out there
I'm about to order a 2014 vantage V8 S Coupe, with carbon kits inside and out (very hard to find).
So far, I've only found one dealer that is willing to give a discount on the prices. Is this normal. If not, what is a typical discount that I should expect.
So far, I've been offered $8000 on a fully optioned car for a final total price of approximately $161K.
Good deal, or no?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks all.
Made contact with Pieter @ AM Washington. RossL, I did give him your regards!
Will post pictures once this "baby "is delivered. Should be a very special car.

Well yes I did Mr. Franz. I asked the factory to do it for me through the Q program and they wanted $12,000. So I said thanks but no thanks and took care of it myself after I took delivery for considerably less. NOW it is exactly like I wanted it
Yeah, Q is all talk and no delivery. They purposely put ridiculously outrageous prices on jobs they don't want to do so that no one will be foolish to take them up on them. This is why I decided to become my own Q department for my upgrades. I've never turned down a job I wanted to do to my own cars.
Has anyone been in AM of Washington lately? Pieter was suppose to call me when this ferrari red vantage S he ordered came in and I have yet to receive a call. Anyone know if it sold immediately or something?
Terminal_ac, I commend you for ordering your Vantage exactly the way you wanted it, with no compromise! Please post pictures when you take delivery. In the mean time tell us the colors you chose for exterior and interior. Congratulations!
The actual "cost" of the vehicle is never clear due to factory programs (cash back to the dealer)… BTW, In my opinion, It's okay for the dealer to make money on the sale of an Aston Martin. Without profitable dealers in the US there would be no AM representation here.
All-in-all, with Aston Martin, it appears to be a very gray area (pricing). I believe I've gone as far as I possibly can on this one.
Thanks to all who responded. Will keep everyone updated.

I agree about the dealer making a profit. My only concern is in the dealer making an excessive amount of profit.

The Factory can & does throw in trunk money, often changes on a month to month basis, but on a 2014 build-to-order there's probably not much on the table.
