Different strokes, I'd rather keep the wheels and discard the wrap :-)

I'm not much on matte finishes for anything.

I know I'm going to catch hell for this, and even though I think the wheels are a bit over the top because of bulk, I think the brass plating is actually pretty cool. The watches now have that brass/copper look, and I wonder what the stock wheels would look like plated that way? Or even interior trim? Hey, I'm originally from Deeeetroit which might explain why I actually like the plating. Not a fan of the film instead of the excellent paint Astons come with (mine is Mercury with a light saddle interior - classy). Sorry to give a partial positive vote on the wheels. My 09 has the standard 20 spoke wheels, not the sports wheels which I think look a lot better. If I change wheels it would be to get the more recent stock Aston wheels to update the look of the car, and maybe do the clear tail lights at the same time. Cheaper than buying new also.

To each his own... I'm not a fan of matte finishes, especially on an Aston. It looks like the car is still in primer (nice primer, but primer nonetheless) and needs paint. Also, the paint on an Aston is stunning -- deep, no orange peel and super-glossy. You don't say which black the car is, but mine is Onyx, and the paint is spectacular. Covering that paint can only detract from the car's looks, IMO.

Enough has been said about the wheels. About the red glow emanating from the fender vents -- NO! Looks like the engine's on fire.

I saw your car in the booth at SEMA, the wrap is very nice. It really accentuates the crisp lines of the Vantage.

That was what I was waiting for someone to mention, we were originally going to use darker color (more like charcoal) but went lighter and the idea of it looking like primer bugged me but if nobody else picked up on that I would feel better

Thanks for the feedback!

Trust me I know, was just getting lots of people telling me "you should do this or that" wanted to see what other Aston owners thought (not many Vantages here in the New Orleans area). Been on the board for a while, figured I would finally post up.

Thanks guys,

^^^ Because it's fun, protects the paint, is fully reversible, and because life is too short.

Totally agree. My black 997tt is now a Satin White (3M wrap). It looks amazingly different than any other 997tt with OEM paint.

Regarding the life is too short comment. This is so true and exactly why our exotic cars need to be driven and enjoyed as much as possible by US, the current owner. Not preserved in a garage for the next owner to enjoy.

I am not a fan of the wheels either but I dont think they are as horrible as the pic makes them look. The red glow from behind gives them a cheaper look which I think kills the whole car.

Wrap: keep
Wheels: Not horrible, but can eventually go
LED red Glow: Must immediately go

If life is too short, why are you worried about protecting the paint. I hear you can get seat covers if you like , that will make it look different, I prefer to enjoy the nice interior leather. If your goal is "different", I guess you've got it. It doesn't make sense to me but that's just me, your choice.

The purpose of a vinyl car wrap has nothing to do with protecting the paint. It has everything to do with trying something new, a new look that is completely reversible. Duh.
