Shipped the car (along with a very quick turbo boxster) to DC and ran thru the mountains back to Miami....

What a fantastic 4 days and 1900 miles ..... Great hotels, meals, and the best driving in a long time...

The low point was the highway drive from Asheville to Miami ... All I can say is the seats in the Vantage are amazing - reclined all the way it felt like a first class flight to Europe ... 12 hours and could have kept driving ..

Sounds like a great drive. I drove right across country in an XKR once, but never in my 9. The farthest I've driven is a 600 mile round trip .....but even that was great!
