Just bad timing, and no one's perfect. I've had my '09 for 4+ years, and I just got the recall notice. It's the first recall affecting my car, and FWIW the car has been extremely reliable.
EDIT: Just saw the duplicate thread. Yes, it's twice for the same item, and annoying, but still a small thing IMO.
