Anyone have their rear shock mounts go bad?

Hey guys,

I have been hearing some creaking at low speeds from behind the drivers seat deep in the wheel well. It sounds like what my BMWs used to make when they had a bad shock mount go out. Also the rear of the car has been very loose under acceleration and in the corners (even more so than my last one).

Did a search and nothing came up so I wanted too see if this is a common known problem?

Is it hard to get to if I want to tighten it DIY?

Not hugely hard to get to, but you have to jack the car, pull the wheel and remove the inner fender liner to get at it. They're not made like the BMW mounts that fit up into the rear deck....

Could be worn bushings, does the car hop when you leave off the throtle, particularly in a slight turn like after overtaking slower traffic?

Yes the car does hop a lot when getting on & off throttle in corners. Which bushings are you referring too specifically?
