That's cool, but I've gotta agree with Darthvader. Love the concept (especially the Bertone Jet 2 and 2+2!), but I'm not feeling this one.

Also, I've been there! That's Newport Pagnell

I'd love it if Aston would bring the Bertone Jet 2 to production as a hybrid with electric motors driving the front wheels making it a 4WD vehicle. My dog Reilly is getting tired of driving his 2007 Audi A4 Avant. Reilly prefers a manual transmission too so that would have to be an option.

Your argument is flawless and I'll adopt it as my own. My dogs would also be happy with a hybrid AWD DB9-based wagon with manual transmission. And who am I to argue with them?

What can I say, I'm a sucker for a Sportwagen.

Barf. Simply, barf. Oh, and sacrilege, too. Why not a pickup truck version while they're at it?

well since you asked me how could i not like that? Sir we are all different, I do not like cars that have an identity crisis! an aston must be sports car not a people carrier, I drive a car for a purpose and when i need an SUV i drive my range rover not an Aston or Porsche Cayen or whatever that stupid thing is .. regarding the old vintage Aston that sparked my comment, well here is my take on the matter.... would you rather have Taylor Swift hanging off your Bell end? or Helen Mirren both Blonde both stunning...... trust me on this Taylor will be much more fun. Being a Pilot and a sports car owner /driver i get to sample the fruit from both sides of the fence so its not speculation

The shooting brake is a classic concept. I don't think the new one pulls it off as well though.

I like the shooting brake look. Here's the Ferrari "breadvan."

To each their own!

And I completely understand, Greg. I've got my V8V and a 4Runner for hauling dogs, mountain bikes, and drunk friends. But having an Aston Martin wagon doesn't preclude me from also having my V8V

This crap about certain marques not being "allowed" to make certain types of cars...just silly.

The Rapide is a wonderful Aston Martin. The addition of a box does not compromise its "Aston-ness".

I love sport wagons, and sleek sedans, and everything that's a great car. While I don't like the two door experiment up there, I love the Rapide Jet/brake.
