There is an outlet on the back of the car beside the fuse box.

Hi folks,

Do you have any other sources for the tire inflation kit for a 2009 Vantage? The eBay link a few posts ago says the seller is away. Thanks!

Slime?

Any reason not to carry a bottle of Slime and any small generic compressor? (Other than aesthetics, of course...)

I've had to replace tires with slime in them and what a mess. I've always repaired my own with a kit from Safe T Seal. Higher quality tools and plugs than you find in the local parts store though not cheap.

As far as compressors go I'd look for original type or look into the ones motorcyclists use. The have some good quality but compact solutions. You get what you pay for applies here also.

I understand what you're saying, Dave, but is that any different than the factory solution?

Caution: If you buy one from e-bay seller, be sure of the expiration date. One being offered expires in Dec. 2015.

Yes, it is different. The factory Continental kit forms a liner inside the tire that can be peeled off like a sheet of rubber.

BTW: If you want an even better solution for permanently repairing holes in tires, look into Dynaplug.

Do you know if these come with the mounting hardware for the coupe, or should that already be installed against the wall of the car? The entire kit was missing when I bought my car.

This is just the pump and tire goo container assembly. I bought one for my 07 vette, was identical to the one in my 09 DB9.

Perhaps you would be better starting a new thread than adding to one that's 9 years old because info has changed since then.

To answer the question, the problem with those filler cans is that you have likely ruined the tire. In a case where you just need some air to get you to someplace which can repair the tire, you want to use the air pump.alone. I also really worrying about having something left in the car that contains something under high pressure. Add some heat and you might end up sealing your trunk.
