Turns out he has no respect for classic British rock either.
I'll bet some asian company copies this before it even is a reality. Looking at the interior I notice a real lack of quality. Mr. Brown needs to step out of coach and into first class before tangling with the big boys.
reminds me of the guy who was (is?) trying to revive the Vincent motorcycle brand. Just a serious case of not quite getting what it was that made the iconic beast so very, you know, iconic. In the case of the Vincent, it was a Honda V-twin on a too long frame with too much 1 for 1 homage and not enough "what made the black shadow great was..."
Here, with Mr, Brown's tarted up XK, we have a similar mess. Yeah, on first glance it may "look" like the original, but that's not really the point of a new one, is it? Rhetorical question, No, it's not. But I'll humor him and say that even if there was value in duplicating the look, that chassis is so huge that I can imagine that this new car could hold an entire DB5 inside it.
I don't know the DB5 well enough to guess at the "right" contemporary car to build its tribute upon, but I'm confident that it isn't the XKR.
What a terribly odd thing to do. Wonder if they'll sell? Wonder to whom.
