Hot Dog! I just bought an 07 Vantage V8!

Like it says, just put a deposit down and should have the car in a couple weeks, it's coming from NY so will shipped covered transport.

THis is dealer pic, it's an AM certified pre-owned which means it has a 1 year factory warranty, it's a two owner car with 28k miles.

Congratulations! Manual or SS? Have you had the clutch checked? ~25k miles is where they start going

It's a manual was afraid of the sport shift. But the factory warranty is benefit. Clutch is good and AM dealer did annual service in Nove 13.

Hi Karl,
Hadn't really planned to get one this soon, but when this pre-certified car came up. Made sense for me that means I have a year to blow the engine up or find other such catastrophic things!

I did a similar thing, bought a certified car, opted for 2 years of factory warranty... did you get the same warranty as new (with free towing to the dealer, bumper to bumper except wear items) or on an 07 was it more limited?

It's a standard one year warranty that covers the same things a new car (not things like brakes or clutch). It can also be extended.

Congrats!

I recognize the AM of Long Island background in your photo. I bought my 2010 V8V from them a couple of months ago and remember getting similar pictures of my car. Michael Herrera did a nice job on mine - although it sucked to arrange transport 2 months ago because we kept getting snow storms every 2-3 days that messed with the transporter's schedule. You should have no such issues!

Congrats zvez!

Micheal Herrara is awesome. I honestly wish I had bought my car from him, but unfortunately couldn't wait any longer and wound up buying in DC. I did sit in that exact car just to see what I had missed. The car is in excellent shape! In fact it's in as good of shape as my 07 with only 5k miles. PM me if you'd like more details.

Glad you got the warranty! Best of luck!

Peter that's so great to here! The only issue I picked up on the original pics was some slight curb rash, but he sent me follow up pics as they were all repaired. Peter it's interesting that you mention the condition, Brian said it looks like a 5k mile car!

I don't have enough posts yet to send PMs, but if you could email any info about the car to zvezdah1@knology.net I'd really appreciate it.

I dealt with Brian at the deaership and seemed like a straight shooter. I sent a couple emails with a huge list of questions and he answered them all very quickly. I'm really looking forward to this car!

Chris,

Many congratulations! I bought my car from AMLI. Michael, Brian and Simon are fantastic, as are the guys in the service department -- it's the best dealership I've ever dealt with. I was in the showroom recently and saw your car there. I didn't look over it in detail, but it looked beautiful.

speed ,

thanks so much for the info, it's always nice to hear positive things about a dealership, since I'm buying the car sight unseen, well except for pics.!

Thanks so much Stuart. Thanks also for posting links to your site in my other thread about aftermarket suppliers. You've got some nice performance goodies and I suspect I'll find a few bits there!
