What to look or ask for on Annual Service
My 09 Vantage with 37,000 miles will be in Lake Forest for its annual service in two weeks. Besides a frayed seatbelt, and a door seal that is splitting apart along the bottom of the door, there is no visible sign of anything wrong. I know about having the software for the Sportshift updated, but what else should I ask for to be looked at the annual and to be updated under warranty or typical services?

I'd verify your AM radio works. An unpopular band, chances are many of us don't listen to AM and thus don't know whether or not our radios have suffered a fairly frequent failure of the AM band. I had my failed radio placed in my 09 volante right before the warranty expired last year.

My AM radio module failed in my '08 V8V; it was replaced under warrantee. Seems like a fairly common failure. Also of course have them look closely for any oil leaks, especially around the front cover.

supposed to change all fluids. Also, make sure the throttle pedal recall was done.

Oil change, transmission fluid service (highly recommend Mobil1 75w-90LS, motul600 or Castrol SRF brake fluid for sure (it's probably never been replaced so you definitely need to get this done). Cabin filter if it's never been done might not be a bad idea.

The AM maintenance specs indicate oil change every 10,000 miles (among other things), but I've seen others on here suggest oil change every 4-5000 miles. I guess it doesn't hurt to change oil more often than specified, but does anyone think that practice would extend engine life or reduce the likelihood of potential problems?

I go with the manufacturer's recommendations. The Oil they use is the highest quality available and with 10-quarts it is nearly 2-times the oil in other similar sized engines. Changing more often than recommended is just a waste of $$$ and Oil. My Porsche Boxster recommendation was for 15,000 miles/every year and filter was to be changed every-other oil change. With modern oils, the main reason to change it is because of a depletion of additives and with the Aston recommended oils, depletion is not of concern for the 10,000 miles they recommend.
