You are correct! I feel the same way every time I drive my Vantage. I feel very blessed for being in a position to own such a beautiful and breath taking car. While each of us have our own individual tastes and opinions, I have yet to see a car as beautiful as the Vantage. It's truly a timeless design, that will never go out of style. I take very good care of my car, and plan on keeping it.

First Post Normally I am on the MBworld forums but in the market for a spare car and have always dreamed of a class act (AM). They are timeless and utterly beautiful. I am having a hard time size and feature wise deciding between a DB9 or a V8 Vantage. 06-08 years. I drove a DB9 Volante yesterday and was less than impressed ..... I think because I built it up so much. But let me caveat that...... The particular vehicle was HOT, and dirty from sitting outside. I was in an absolutely unfamiliar area and wasn't used to it. Really looking for a Coupe. Only drove it for 10 min, top up and top down. I am going from a E63 AMG to this (res delete), so the HP difference might be what or why I felt the way I did. The sound was so much less than mine and not really loud. I wish I had a mirror, cause I bet I was still grinning from ear to ear. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...es/smLach2.gif

I want the GT feel, soft and comfortable but can be stiff when I want it to be. And yes I did say stiffhttps://www.6speedonline.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif So I think the Coupe will be way different feel, outside sound wise, and overall drivability. I am taking a V8 Vantage for a long drive next weekend and that might be more to my liking. We will see, but I will promise to grin as much as possible to whole time.

Honest reason to get one, I want something I am proud of, want to keep instead of trading up all the time or a newer model, and something I can still have in the garage 25 years from now and still be a really cool car. I think I am entering what I should be for those reasons. I like the exclusivity also.

I would love to hear from you after you drive the V8 Vantage and compare it with the E63!

I will be glad to give an update. Trying NOT to compare, as they are different cars!!!. But The ride felt like my E with airmatic set to no stiffness mode. I typically always drive it in the sport 1 mode. The pedal was like pushing AIR, where Bmw and Mercs are sorta stiff and push from the top. That was hard to get used to also. Plus rolling into the throttle, you built speed, but didn't feel the rush ever when going to 60mph. I did stomp it, but was going 40 when I did up to 80 only. Pulled hard but no where near as Violent like the Merc. Yes the Merc is a Beast and is Violent to say the least. I am assuming the Vantage will be louder, stiffer ride, and kinda fun to drive and nice to be a cruiser too. I hope, just might grab a triple black 07 next week if so. Here is my E

Welcome aboard, Sheriff. Would you consider posting pictures a little smaller in size? There's really no need to post pictures over 2MB each into a forum. It makes page loads incredibly slow. These same pictures could be 200KB in size and still look the same on this page. Cheers.

Great looking DB9 but i would suggest trying the V8 Vantage if you want a stiffer feel.

PS- Nice E63!

Crap, sure will Karl, unfortunately it won't let me edit it now, so cannot change it. Will drop that, figured out how to do it with Image shack. Thanks for the info.

Karl could you pm me please then I will send you my email if you don't mind taking the time. I am looking at a 07 vantage and would like to converse if possible. Plus any info you could email me on it, PPI list etc.... Thanks in advance.

^^^^ And by "make room" we mostly mean making room in my finances as there is no way I can afford to have both.

As Jay Leno said "You just fall in love with an Aston"

Well said. I just picked up V8V. It was between a 997 GT3, 997 Turbo, GTR, R8 V8 and the AM V8V.

Coming from a full track build E92 M3 (clubsport coilovers, solid subframe, roll cage, decatted, solid diff mounts, stripped interior and recaro seats).

I found the GT3 to harsh, the P turbo felt disconnected (and felt the lag), GTR is fast but detached and ugly, R8 is sweet and very good car overall.

I actually didnt even look at the aston due to its performance specs on paper. I had the P turbo ready to purchase just because i wanted a porsche turbo.

I decided to take a short test drive in the AM v8v. I instantly fell in love. All of my friends and family questioned my purchase due to the paper specs.

It is very hard to explain how special the AM V8V makes you feel when you drive it. Hopefully my coming RSC tune and filters help give me a little more *****, but either way its the most fun car ive ever driven.
