Good review about the GT and how great of a deal it is! Makes me almost want to get one

The review keeps stressing endlessly about the sub-$100K price, but I guarantee you that you will not find a single GT at that price point. Even the race contrasting colors (graphics pack) which the reviewer mistakenly calls a delete option is actually a $3,200 option. Good luck trying to sell a car in the future if you spec'd a completely base car.

 

Not doubting what you said but I am just wondering how you know about the graphics delete being a $3200 option?

 

I didn't say that it costs that much to delete. What I said/meant is that it costs that much to add the graphics pack. The reviewer made it sound like the graphics was included in the $99K price and that it would be no charge to delete it. The truth is that the $99K price does not include the graphics pack and it costs $3200 to add it.

 

The article is written to entice sales for Aston Martin. I see it as a good thing. The base price of any exotic is never what you pay. I think this rule applies to any car equal and above a BMW/Mercedes/Audi.

The way to order the GT is as a barebones car with graphic delete. That's the whole point. Other than a few minor options you should not be selling the car out with more than $6-k in options. At that price it is an absolute bargain.

 

Perhaps for you it is.
