What a great color combination. I'm always on the fence on Monaco Blue but with it looks right in those pics. But it's really the interior that I love. What is Aston's name for that color? I've seen it on occasion while browsing for my next Aston but I don't yet know it's real name. Any other blue is a deal breaker for me but that particular hue is just stunning.

Well done on your selection. The grin (yours and the boy's) won't go away.

Thanks for the nice compliment. The interior color for my car is called Caspian Blue. And like you, I was not looking for blue when I first started looking. Then I saw this car and totally fell in love with the color combo. The exterior Monaco Blue is awesome after a nice wash and wax. It shines beautifully. And the interior Caspian Blue color is simply awesome. What model year are you searching for?

I actually got my car for $61K and dealer was asking $66.9K for it. I hope it was a good deal. Car only has 5515 miles when I bought it.

It must just read differently in different cars. Sometimes I see Caspian and think it's too light, other times it looks just right.

Oh, I'm always just searching, waiting for the right, slightly preloved AM. Probably another Vantage, but a Volante Virage or DB9 may be next. Depends on the winds of fortune, eh?

Sounds like a good price for a great car. Is there any other purchase you could have made with that same $ that would bring you the same or better satisfaction? Then it was the right price.

All -

Thank you for the guidance and advice - I am going with roadster w/ manual transmission. The car has only 3k miles on it and its in pristine condition....the dealer emailed me today on whether or not I want an extended AM warranty - 3900/1yr and 7K for two.... My gut tells me not to get it...I think I am safe seeing most of the issues and headaches were in the early stages of V8V.

Any thoughts?

Well the AM extended warranty is not nearly as good as a new car warranty, It won't cover wear items, paint, clutch, etc. It will cover lots of other stuff.

It's debatable on whether worth it or not. $4k isn't a whole lot if you get into a major problem. You might sleep better at nite. I opted for it on mine but it was built into the price of the car and the car was competitively priced with the rest of similar cars for sale (dealer sales).

Here are some pictures of the actual unloading from the truck. I will post some better pictures after I give her a nice wash and was.

Happy to report that I was just able to adjust the parking brake so that the warning light goes away when handbrake is released. Dealership wanted $250 to adjust it for me. This was the easiest fix ever. It just took a while to get the right information an the right 22mm open wrench tool.

Great choice on the manual transmission. I can't wait to check out your new ride. What color and what year?

Bad News and some very good news....

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone.....its been a never ending roller coaster ride for the car.

The used V8V I was looking at ended being already sold - the owner of the dealership already closed the deal with an out of state buyer and never posted the sale internally. Major major bummer.

After going back and forth on the phone with the sales manager and my sales person they ended up getting me into a 2014 Jet Black w/ Sandstorm interior 6 speed roadster - incredible deal incredible people and experience. Exec car built last November. I finally picked it up Friday afternoon....All i can say about this car is Wow!!! Simply incredible!!!

The perfect formula of elevated sophistication, auto art, and raw power. My expectations were blown away. I will try post some pics later on today.

Ok, very slowly and with great care, gently back her out of there and far far away from the bicyle, rakes, rattle cans, and other stuff that is moments from lurching straight for that perfect paint.

That side of the garage has been completely cleaned and all items have been relocated to another location since the pic was taken. She was put there as emergency parking situation due to T-Storms.
