New GT owner, am I missing some trim parts?

Hi,
Brand new to the AM club, been a BMW guy throughout. Just picked up a Black on Black with yellow accent GT 2 weeks ago. Was just looking at floor mats in the car when I looked up underneath the glove box and looks to me something is missing. Same thing on the driver side. Am I crazy or this is how it comes from the factory.
Also can anyone tell me what is in the tool kit. I only see a foam insert and a tow hook.
Thank you

Tool kit, used to have extra bulbs, stubbie screw driver, tow hook and for roadsters a hex allen to manually close the top...over the years those things started to fade and all that was fitted was the tow hook for coupes

As for the panels, nope..that's it, nothing missing
