Lightbulb Raise front driver's seat with spacers? AM V8V

I have a 2009 V8V and love it. I'm not a super-short guy, but at 5' 8" I feel that an extra inch in height on the driver's seat would allow me to see better out of the front window and hence drive a lot better!

So my thought is to remove the main 4 bolts and get some sort of 1" nuts and inch longer screws and use those as spacers to boost the entire seat up. I don't think this would cause any issues but I thought I'd ask about it on here first since you guy's are the experts! I want to avoid any problems like maybe the wiring is too short to allow for an extra inch raising the seat up or something?

PS: Yes, I do have the seat adjusted where I like it. It's in a comfortable position and won't go higher, that's why I'm asking.

I used spacers to hard-mount a Recaro bucket seat in an STi I built. It wasn't adjustable at all, but it was exactly where I wanted it. You shouldn't have any issues with doing that, so long as you use hardware that's high-enough quality.

That said, I don't know how much better the visibility is going to get. I'm 5'7" and keep the seat pretty low but it feels great to me. If you're trying to see the front of your hood, it might not happen - it slopes too much and sits too low.

Thanks for the reply telum01. Yeah, I don't need to see the front of the hood but if I just lift my head an inch higher I have a better view overall. Are there just 4 simple bolts in each of the four corners? Anyone know the size specs for the bolts?
