Congrats Sunir on the car! I was seriously looking at a gated 430 before I bought the Scud. Once I test drove the Scud I never looked back. The Scud was more of what I was looking for but I totally understand why you want a gated 430. The one I almost bought was a pleasure to drive and is the last gated Ferrari period. Enjoy it!

 

F430 is a very raw beast...it's much less refined than the 458 and lends the driver a different driving experience. Good observations Rich. The F1 gearbox is quick shifting (60mS in the Scud), but there's nothing like the "clink" of a 2-3 upshift, for example, in a gated shifter manual transmission Ferrari. One of the pure and genuine sounds and feeling you have if you're a car guy that make being a car enthusiast worthwhile, that is something technology can never take away.

 

Just got new wheels pics coming soon. Went with a 19"/20" setup shod in Michelin PSS rubber 235 on 19x8.5" rims up front and 295 on 20x12" rims out back :-)
