GPS Flipping Out

2013 AM Vantage, Garmin GPS works for about 15 min then shows car going in a circle off the road and slowly returns. This was repeated a couple times on a long trip. Trunk was packed with luggage. Are the GPS brains behind a trunk panel? (I see a pattern of vent holes in the trunk on the drivers side.) Is there a possibility that the unit is overheating?

Shouldn't the car still be under warranty? If so, a trip to the dealer is in order.

Yes, but I am driving from Marco, Island, FL to Charlotte, NC. Hoping to find a quick fix. Will take car to dealer once I return the Charlotte. Did contact Aston Martin in Naples, they were too busy to help and never returned my call. Not the way to be treated by a "bespoke" Aston Martin dealer!!

Update: Drove 410 miles today and the GPS worked fine. I am guessing an overstuffed truck my have blocked off the GPS vents (ventilation holes) and caused the GPS to malfunction.

Once I was driving a Vantage from San Diego to Vancouver. After I left San Diego heading North on the PCH, it was tracking me heading due South to Tijuana. 15 minutes later I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Astons can go underwater.

Happened to me last year in a 2014 C7 Corvette. I was on my way to PBIR racetrack for a Lamborghini event and all of a sudden I was driving over the Atlantic.

Similar thing happened after a battery swap in my 07. Pulling the radio/NAV fuse fixed it. (This is the one under the passenger seat).

My theory is an overstuffed truck (boot!) may have cause the GPS processor to overheat. I was told the processor is in the drivers side truck rear. I noticed a grouping of what appears to ventilation holes at that location. Off on another 300 mile drive today to Kiawah Island.
