Preowned warranty

Hi as you guys know I have a 2007 Vantage I bought in August with the one year extended Aston Martin warranty. I just discovered that one of my rear shocks and rubber brake lines are leaking at the back of the car. It could also be the rear caliper I'll have to check more closely. Does anyone know if those items are covered. I'm aware that trim items are not covered thank you
Ron

Jeff Young is infamous around these parts
Haven't looked at the policy but my guess is the damper is NOT covered as a wear item, but the brake lines or caliper is (not a wear item).

I believe that wear items like shocks and clutches are not included.

Time for new shocks (if it is leaking) may as well go for the upgraded lowering springs while your in there .

If it's an Aston extended, then the shock should be covered if it's leaking, leaking is not "wear"..also, they are to be replaced in axle sets, but extended warranty will not pay for the other damper, that would be at the owners cost

The brakes lines are actually stainless steel..I've yet to see one leak but does not at all mean it's not possible

It is an Aston Martin 1 year pre owned Warranty. The dealer offered me an additional two years for another $4500 before this years warranty expires. So you think they will only replace the one shock that it's leaking? Isn't the rule of thumb to replace both shock someone axle at the same time? And thanks for your input. I will call the dealer in the morning. And how do you come by this info. You sound like you know what you're talking about.
As far as the brake line goes, it could be the caliper it's hard to tell I didn't want to clean it because I want to the dealer to see the fluid on the brake line which looks like rubber in my car

If it was a regular warranty, yes the other damper in that axle would be paid for by warranty if a particular mileage is meet.. But extended warranty doesn't have the same beliefs..

My info, ummm.. I've been around :-P

Okay I just had the car in to Galpin yesterday. They said the left rear shock is leaking and they will replace it under the extended warranty. The odd thing is they replace both rear shocks before I purchase the car last summer and said they've never seen a new shock go bad so quickly. The oil leak on the right rear was not that shock but the overflow for the transaxle which was overfilled and spraying oil on my right rear wheel and bumper! So they drained some oil out of the transaxle to the proper level clean the oil up and we'll see what happens.
