Yeah you will need a lift for sure. There is a certain and very specific angle in which you have to bring the parts down and clearance becomes an issue. Friend of mine who does lots of his own V8V work came down to meet my mechanic and take a look at the process while it was underway.

There are lots of different bolt sizes on the V8V and my mechanic had almost his entire tool box out using it all. In the end there were no real special tools required so I was told. The master slave is great part to replace while doing the clutch so do that. Also Shift cables tend to need to be replaced on the 06-07's Another part that is easier to reach while its torn down. (I can feel a huge difference in the shifter now it's new).

My mechanic took 12 hours. Everything has to come off / down to do it.
Hope that helps. Sorry no pics…

My clutch is done now and WOW is it different / better. The pedal is so much lighter under the foot. Lots less work. The bite on the clutch is notably more positive and much faster. It engages right as your foot releases the pedal and not at the very top of the clutch pedal travel. It's much more immediate and purposeful. My shifter is also lighter to the touch and has more positive movement as it snaps into gear better.

SUPER HAPPY! All the parts were stock.
